April-July fiscal deficit at Rs3.25 trillion
Net tax receipts were at Rs1.47 trillion in the first four months of the current fiscal year to March 2015
New Delhi: India’s fiscal deficit in the first four months of the 2014/15 financial year was Rs3.25 trillion ($53.7 billion), or 61.2% of the full-year target, government data showed on Friday.
The deficit was 62.8% during the comparable period in the previous fiscal year.
Net tax receipts were at Rs1.47 trillion in the first four months of the current fiscal year to March 2015, while total expenditure was about Rs5.04 trillion. Reuters
