Salaries surge at Jamnalal Bajaj, Mumbai, and FMS, Delhi

Placements at some of the top business schools (outside the IIM league) have also seen an impressive surge in pay packages. At the Faculty of Management Studies, the average salary shot up by 27% this year to Rs15.3 lakh for students of the MBA programme. The average salary for the MBA-MS programme is Rs13.1 lakh, about 24% higher than last year's average. The highest domestic salary offered was Rs26 lakh and the highest international salary offered by a retail giant in Kuwait was US$105,000.
At the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai, a big increase in the number of investment banks on campus resulted in almost 17% of the graduating class taking up i-banking offers. Morgan Stanley Investment Bank and Avendus Capital were among the investment banks that showed up recruit students from the institute. The highest domestic salary offered was Rs29 lakh. The average salary was Rs13.84 lakh and each student was made 3.08 offers on average.
