Art and culture course from Osian

Mumbai-based, art auction house, Osian’s Connoisseurs of Art is set to start a 1,000 hour course on art, cinema, popular culture and cultural management. This marks Osian's foray into education targetting anyone with an inclination towards arts and culture, right from students, private banking professionals to diplomats. The faculty will include artists like Gieve Patel and film makers like Shyam Benegal and Anurag Kashyap.
The course, which will start on 1 November in Mumbai and on 1 December in Delhi, will cost anything from Rs 10,000 to a lakh depending on the depth and duration. There will be no rigorous screening, admissions will be based on interests and inclinations of applicants, says an Osian spokesperson.
