Now that Sourav Ganguly is part of the Indian team, I have few questions...

  • Is Sourav in the team because we have a new selection panel now?
  • Or, is it because of the relentless media hype and crowd pressure?
  • Or, according to the new selectors, experience really is the need of the hour?
  • Or, is he in the team because they want to say bye – the Aussie way?

According to me , Ganguly is in the team because he deserves it. He has done so much for Indian Cricket, but there are so many thankless people , who just gets frustrated on hearing the name of Ganguly. Like Sachin, Ganguly should also be given his own time, to say Goodbye to Indian Cricket. There should not be any discrimination , because if form is concerned, then Sachin should retire first.

The Australian way would have been to punt him and Dravid off without warning like they did to Healy and Mark Waugh.
