PlayStream 1: Unlock that iPod with Sharepod

It gives us tremendous pleasure to announce the launch of PlayStream, the weekly tech video show on livemint.com. Completing the terrific tech trio of PlayThings (blog) and PlayCast (podcast), PlayStream will showcase short--5 minutes or less is our target--videos where we will focus primarily on freeware applications, browsers and browser extensions and browser-based apps. The idea is to highlight some of the super apps out there that make browsing the internet and handling multimedia a cinch. But of course we will be doing plenty of interesting new brower-based games as well.
In the inaugural edition we look at a wonderful little app called Sharepod. And when I say little I mean less than 3 MB, no install necessary and completely portable. Sharepod lets you hook up to any iPod, iPhone and iPod Touch and move your content without having to download or install iTunes. A boon for anyone who uses one iPod but wants to manages music across multiple computers. Enjoy the video here, and do leave your comments and feedback.
