Cashing in on Independence Day

It is that time of the year when marketeers everywhere are desperately trying to devise "new and improved" products splashed all over with saffron, white and green. During my Monday morning inbox update I was informed of this new product:

Logitech just announced the launch of the cool Indi mouse- Logitech Tri Color Mouse.

The tri colored mouse combines Swiss technology and vibrant Indian colors.

The press release goes on to inform (read with the opening few notes of Chak De India playing in your head):

Grab it if you'd like your table to announce your Indianness, your pride in its stature as one of the great nations in the world and the diversity, vibrancy and richness in our culture. Allow your humble mouse to remind everyone the long struggle our forefathers went through to gain our Independence. Salute the world's largest democracy. Feel honored to be part of an India that is one of the happiest nations in the world and on the threshold of being an economic superpower.
