Especially when they are light, bloat-free and do what they do without a huge hue and cry. 1. Snaplinks - Right click n drag to open any number of links in background tabs. Useful when googling and u need to check out a lot of search results. beats right click-> Open in background tab each time.
2. Gmarks - stores your bookmarks in your online google account. So you can sign in from any comp and carry ur bookmarks around.
3. Gpreview- As it suggests, Gives you a snapshot preview of every google search result next to it. So, when you are searching for downloadable stuff, you can avoid websites which look like each other, only with different names very easily :)
4. Footiefox- Heaven for football fans. Live tracking of football matches/scores for a huge number of leagues around the world. (Only links to a german site though)

JAMM-Just another Mallu moron.

Great post. However, i disagree with "All the add-ons that matter have already been ported to the latest version".
I use google browser sync, and google has decided not to support an upgrade to firefox 3. As a result, I won't be shifting to FF3 till i find a suitable alternative.
Give it a spin anyway, and let us know how it goes! :)

re: Five Firefox plugins (with one bonus) you must have

Hey Sid,

I completely agree with you that Firefox is a kickazz browser :). I would like to point out a couple of more addon's

1) Stumbleupon: Serious timepass addon: "StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests, learns what you like and brings you more." Sooo.. just enter your fav topic (cheese, Shahrukh Khan, gaming, Sidin, etc) and hit stumble, and it takes u to cool websites related to ur topic. Really great for killing ofiice time.
2) Freecorder toolbar: record ANY sound from your browser window (hint, wink: now I can save the songs I listen to on Raaga/esnips... :P)
3) Status bar: the ADDON you MUST have. I hate the pesky download popup with firefox, and this thing just minimizes any downloads u are doing (Ofcourse "not" during office hours) to the bottom of your explorer window!

I know freecorder & stumbleupon are technically toolbars, but they make my life sooo much simpler, esp. since Ive discovered free online radio on shoutcast :P.

Hope u check them out.
