That's because, and most iPod owners know this, there is no way to actually copy back the music on your iPod. In addition to Yamipod's features, it also has the following additional features:

* Video support ( You have to paste the youtube link and it will automatically be downloaded to your pod. Now, how cool is that? )

* Photo support. ( Only ipod manager which can do this other than iTunes I think )

* Lyrics support

If you got the music on to your iPod in the first place, it's all there on your computer. Unless you use more than once computer for this, isn't the 'back-up' redundant? So in case your iPod were to die/get stolen/gobble up all music, you could just reconnect and push it all back, right?

I can understand this being an issue for those who don't have a computer of their own or use office computers ONLY... otherwise, not such an issue, really. Innit?

re: Want the music on your friend's ipod? It works just fine for me. You can search songs in iPod using this, copy the searched/filtered songs or copy all songs from a playlist etc etc. It's a pretty old piece of software and I'm using it for last 2 years or so... It's easily (and freely) available in net...
