Ramblings on a Rainy Day

I am writing this from inside the taxi -- on the way back to office after dropping my mother to the airport. It's been raining in Dubai for the last couple of days, and it reminds me of India. In Dubai, there are usually brisk, short spells of rain during the winter months. But suddenly (is this global warming and one of its many offshoots?), even...

Pawandeep, God bless you: you have given me the opening to this week's blog, yet again! Every Sunday, there is a big struggle in my head over what I should be writing on. I know it's not Friday the 13 th . It's Sunday the 8 th March, and it's Women's Day. I'd almost forgotten, but thanks for alerting me through my last blog. Pawandeep specifically said he looks forward to my post on Women's Day. Very honestly, I hadn't planned one. But here are some random musings, followed by the demystification...

I am going to write a short blog this week, because there are too many things happening this Sunday. Too many people to meet, lots of matters to be sorted out -- but, who knows, maybe all of those will provide fodder for the coming Sunday... Pawandeep had asked me sometime back why I don't do something on the Average Indian Woman (or Girl)... I...
