Don't forget the medicine chest

Said bye to grandma. Got tix, passport with all visas and forex. Visited salon. Even had time for my first ever back facial. Am travelling four blackheads lighter. Our flight for Singapore leaves at 0025 hours. Incidentally, I thought some of you might be interested in the medicines list my in laws sent me so here's their email (I bought an abridged version):

Dearest Priya,

 

Here is the list. This is recommended by Dr Das. We carry them every time we go out of Bangalore for a long stay.

1         DOLO 650                1----1-----1

    For fever and bodypain

  • 2 CROCIN----for fever and bodypain----2-3 tablets per day, not more than 3 days.
  • 3 CEFOLAC 200 mg. This is an antibiotic.

1---0-1 after food---for fever, cough with sputum, any infection. To be taken for 5 or 7 days.

4          ELDOPER or LOPAMIDE------ One tablet as and when needed if there is diarrhoea. Can be taken upto 1---1---1 per day , if          needed.  If diarrhoea continues, antibiotic SATROGYL-O  to be taken 1-0---1 for 5 to 7 days. ELECTRAL should also be taken to avoid dehydration.

5     STUGIL   1---1---1 for nausea and vomiting.

6     ALLEGRA-120 . One tablet daily for allergy.

7     EBAST-DC  One tablet, once or twice daily for severe cold.

8    LANS-DXR or PAN-D

      1---0-0 before breakfast if there is gastric upset, burping, distension of stomach, burning in stomach etc.

9    SATROGYL-O .     This is an antibiotic.     

      1-0-1 after food for stomach pain and diarrhea or mucous diarrhea. To be taken for 5 days.

      Please read this in conjunction with No 4.

10   CREMELAX or DULCOLAX  

     1 to 2 tablets at bed time for Constipation.

11   SELINGER or SEDOSOLVIN

      1---1---1 tablets for Cough.

12   NISE or IBUGESIC 400------ Painkillers.

 

N.B. All antibiotics to be taken together with B-COMPLEX.

4 should include have been Roko. If there is anything that can stop diarrhoea, its gotta be Roko!
